One day, the aliens come to her office, demanding that the age at which one can have sexual intercourse be lowered. That age limit was lowered just last year to 15 or older.
"Mayor," the lead alien said, "we find that the current age limit for human females to engage in sexual activity is too high. We would like to lower it to 12 years old."
Emma knew this would mean more young girls being forced into sex against their will. She also knew that if she didn't agree, the aliens would enact even harsher measures on her community.
She took a deep breath and nodded reluctantly. "Very well, I will inform the community of the new law. But 12 years old is impossible. How about 14 years old first?"
The aliens looked at each other and then back at Emma. "We will accept 14 years old as the new minimum age limit for sexual activity between humans and our kind."
Emma left the meeting feeling sick to her stomach. The idea of young girls being forced into sex with aliens made her want to vomit. But she knew she had no choice but to enforce the
laws that the aliens demanded.
Next day, a meeting was held to explain the new law. Thirty women gathered in a crude outdoor venue. Many of them appeared to be mothers. Emma stood up and addressed the group.
"Ladies, we have been informed by the aliens that the minimum age for sexual activity has been lowered to 14 years old. This means that any girl who turns 14 will be required to engage
in sexual intercourse with the aliens. It's a difficult situation, but we must abide by their rules if we want to survive."
The women began to protest, some even crying. "14 years old! Mayor, do you even know what you are talking about!?" one woman exclaimed.
